First was a blog post that he put out there about "How Hero's Speak". In this post he mentioned about a pro hockey player that invested time in with him when he was a little boy, recovering from his burns that were part of John's story early on in his life. It's all about the people that speak words into our hearts, souls, minds, etc., throughout our lifetime. These hero's don't necessarily wear capes either, but the do interject such powerful belief into us that it ends up making a HUGE difference in our lives. I've had so many heroes in my life that I know I wouldn't be where I am today with out them.
He brought up the other fact about the truth is that we are supposed to be the same hero for others. There are other people out there, ones we don't even know perhaps, but we are the difference-makers that they need in their lives. There are people that are counting us to do good things, to work hard, to work on improving ourselves, and the list goes on and on as to what we can better at. We get better ourselves, that means we can positively affect more people. It starts out as our loved ones, our friends but then it gets connected to everyone we meet.
Trust me on this one - you work on improving yourself, you are not the only one that will benefit from that choice.
